Paula Gilchrist is an experienced professional with a public service background and fine business and managerial credentials.

Paula Gilchrist was elected Douglas County Treasurer in 2004. Prior to representing Douglas County, Gilchrist held positions with a variety of non-profit organizations and learned the value of constituent services as aide to congressman Jim Slattery. As County Treasurer, Gilchrist continues to focus on making vehicle registration less frustrating, expanding on-line resources and options, and replacing manual office procedures with integrated technology.

My oldest son Paul (R) is a graduate of the US Naval Academy stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

My youngest son, Rob (L) is a Loadmaster with the Air Force stationed at McChord AFB in Washington state. He calculates weights and distributions of all types of cargo from presidential limousines to med-evac to flag draped caskets on a C-17 cargo jet. He is currently making frequent flights in and out of Afghanistan and Iraq.
