Nora Murphy

Nora has been a volunteer with the Douglas County Democrats since 2006. She served several years as a Precinct Committeeperson, and was active in organizing the Dems’ annual fundraiser many years. Nora served as Chair of the party for one election cycle. She organized monthly outreach to Eudora, Baldwin City, and Lecompton from 2016 to 2020. She worked at Kansas Democratic Party for one year under the leadership of Kerry Gooch, and was Office Assistance to Representative John Wilson for two cycles. Nora lives in Lawrence with her husband Jim Beach, who served the Douglas County Democrats as Treasurer for five years. She has two adult children.

Born and raised in Kansas, Pat graduated from KU and pursued a career in international education
administration at KU and the University of South Carolina. After 24 years in South Carolina, she and her
husband returned to Kansas, just in time to witness the ruins of the Brownback era. Pat was elected a Precinct Committee Person and Secretary of the Douglas County Dems in 2016 and Vice Chair in 2018. She currently serves as Chair and Interim Treasurer. Pat is a parent of 5 and grandparent of 3.

Bruce Roberts

Bruce has been the Precinct Committeeman of Precinct 49 since 2014. In 2020, he accepted responsibility for organizing Democratic volunteers for Douglas County, and was elected Vice Chair of the Party in September 2020. He became a Democrat in 2008 when Obama ran. Bruce grew up in Lawrence and attended KU, graduating with a teaching degree. After serving in the Air Force, he returned to graduate with an MBA, and then a 25 year career with the State of Kansas as an auditor and then in information technology.

Kevin Hall

Kevin served as the Chair of the Bourbon County Democrats before moving to Lawrence 5 years ago. Since arriving, he has been the Precinct Committeeman for Precinct 38 for two terms. He has been married to his wife Angie for 18 years and they have have five children, ages 11 to 28. He's been a Sales Executive in cable, print, and internet advertising for 10 years. His hobbies include playing golf with his son, fantasy football, and cheering on Sporting KC and the Kansas City Royals. He looks forward to helping Democrats increase seats at the state and federal levels, and ensuring voting rights for all people.
